LIBRARY FACILITIES
The College has a big Library with huge collections of Text Books Reference books, Journals, Magazines, newspapers along with the library has two open spaced reading rooms for students and teachers. The library is availing membership of INFLIBNET consortia. The NLIST provides access to 6000+ ejournals and more than 1,64,300 e-books. The students can also avail the benefits of various rare books, reputed journals, magazines, encyclopaedia etc. The library has complete automation system. It is well stocked with special collections of the “Baisali Mohan Trust” and also has the Book Bank facility for economically backward students.

Library Services :
- We are providing automated Circulation Service.
- The Library is running with online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Internet facility are available at the library
- We display our current books and journal list in the periodical section as library new arrivals. We are providing user orientation programme for students.
- The entire library is under close circuit camera surveillance.
- The Library has an Institutional Repository. The repository is well stocked with publications of Sonari College Magazines, Journals, Edited Books, Conference Proceedings, Lecture Notes, Audio and Video Lectures, Questionpapers, teachers’ and student’s Research Publications etc.
- Every year Sonari College Library offers an award known as “Best Reader Award” to students.
General Rules for Using Library :
Students are to collect library cards at the time of admission. Students of H.S. class can borrow two books and students of degree course can borrow 3 for major and 2 for non major at a time which they must return within a period of 15 days, otherwise they shall have to pay a late fine of Rs. 5/- (five) per day, per book. Students must get library clearance certificate from the librarian before issue of Admit Card for various examinations. A borrower will have to pay the price of any book that lost or damaged in his/her custody or must replace the book.
